The Choir of St Ambrose

The choir normally meets every first Sunday of the month (although there are exceptions this year, see below) to enrich the morning service with beautiful music. It is a high quality ensemble of experienced singers drawn from all over Bristol, and their well-trained sound makes the perfect match with the generous acoustics of St Ambrose. 

The vision is to serve the church and the local community with music that lifts you out of the everyday and rekindles the spirit.

Even if you’re not into religion, you’re welcome to come and enjoy the uplifting sound of the choir and the gentle rhythm of our morning service.

Aside from singing the liturgy, the choir sings three pieces taken from different eras of music, from renaissance to modern.

Applications to join the choir are welcome via music@stambrosebristol.org.uk. Rehearsals are restricted to the day of the service, so applicants must be able sight-readers and experienced choral singers.
